Adding a link
Open your links above, scroll to the bottom, type a name and press
Add link. It exists straight away — no waiting on anyone. Name it after the place, not the
platform: Dallas roofers group, hail video 3, r/Roofing post. You already have a link for
each of the big platforms; make new ones when you want to tell two efforts apart.
One link per place
The only way to learn what works is to stop mixing your traffic.
A separate link for every group, video or article tells you which ones brought roofers and which wasted
your time. Under each link you will see signed up and paying. Drop what produces nothing and
do more of what produces.
Posting a picture or a video
An image is never clickable by itself. There are three ways to carry
your link with it:
- Link in the text. Post the picture and put your link in the caption, the first comment or the
description.
- QR inside the picture. Download the PNG or SVG above and drop it into a corner of your image in
Canva or any editor. People point a phone camera at it. This is the only way that works where links are
not allowed.
- Link in bio. Instagram and TikTok allow one clickable link on your profile. Put a tracking link
there and write “link in bio” in the caption.
Where each one goes
Link in the post text or the first comment. |
| YouTube |
Description plus a pinned comment. On Shorts use a QR on screen — nobody opens the description. |
| Instagram, TikTok |
No clickable links in captions. Use the bio link or a QR in the image. |
| Email, Messenger, WhatsApp |
Paste the link straight into the message. |
| Forums and communities |
Read the rules first. Many ban links from new accounts — be useful for a while before you post one. |
The QR buttons
QR shows it on screen. PNG is the one to drop into a post
or an image. Print is the same code at high resolution. SVG is vector — it stays sharp at
any size, so use it when something gets enlarged. A scan and a click are tracked exactly the same.
A few things worth knowing
- Use the Test link when you want to click your own link, so your real numbers stay clean.
- Send them to the link and nothing else. A roofer who finds the site on their own is not credited to you.
- Helping them through their first evaluation matters more than the post that brought them. A roofer who
finishes one roof usually keeps going.
- Never promise what the app does not do. It measures United States roofs only, and it is not an
insurance adjustment.
Phone calls
If you decide to call roofers, ask for a short link you can say out loud over
the phone and one will be set up for you.
